When I am in the US I am often asked what it is like in India. It is difficult for me to describe what I see, because there is nothing in the US that I can liken it to. The density of people is like a rock concert. People are always around, milling around moving in different directions. It seems like the traffic is constant, with people walking and cars honking until early in the morning.
The people are, for me, the most impressive part of India. At first I was overwhelmed. As they say India comes at you fast and you either love it or hate it. As I acclimated I saw how alert, observant, open and child like they are. Now when I see them, I really see them. I see their open childlike smile. They beam when they think about their country.
I go back to India next week. This time I want to learn more about their true nature. I will sign up for more yoga classes.
